I’ve been working hand in hand with Cliffside Stumpgrinding throughout the past many years and am proud to continually do business with John! Owning a small business of my own, I’ve come to conclude that there is a necessity for the three “R’s” in order to succeed. Respectfulness, Responsibility and Reliability! John and his crew are all of these three important words and I am proud to have someone like them to help myself and my clients throughout the years.

I called Cliffside first thing in the morning when my previous contact for stump removal had not called me back, and needed the stumps removed that day. He was able to come by and take care of the stumps quickly and for a reasonable price.

John went above and beyond to satisfy our stump grinding needs. I work in the green-industry and have recommended him to anyone in need of stump grinding.

Job went great – took a lot less time than I had expected. John had the whole stump gone in around an hour. He did an excellent job, brought tarps to contain the chips and leaf blew my driveway clean when he was done.

I had several very large diameter stumps at Bolton Notch RV and John came in exactly as promised and removed all of the stumps (some up to 45 inches plus and none less than 30 inches) not only did he remove all of them in one day he also hauled all the chips away and filled the holes with soil ! He did an excellent job he was super responsive with calls and he even managed to do all this work with no interruption of the business. I highly recommend him and will and already have referred him to friends and family.

I called Cliffside and received a call back almost immediately. John came out to the house that day. He gave me a quote to do my stumps scheduled the job for that Thursday. Well all I can say is you can believe all the reviews that Cliffside has on there site, they are 100% accurate. They were professional, fast, very reasonable, and above all did a great job.

Shows up when they say they will, they stuck to the agreed schedule, reasonably price and the crew was very professional and very complete in the clean-up. They even installed temporary protective cloth fencing to contain the chips and saw dust during the stump grinding. As the website says, they do the Check Before You Dig, with the local town coming out and marking our water shut-off valve to make sure the tree work stayed clear of the underground piping. The company owner was present and personally oversaw the whole operation. I cannot recommend Cliffside more highly.

Worked with John to setup an appointment to grind a 4′ stump in my backyard. He had the correct equipment to pass through a 6′ fence opening. No damage to my lawn either. Not only was the price very competitive he was knowledgeable and a pleasure to work with. His team was very neat and efficient. The stump was ground well below grade as promised.

Our job was actually a bigger job than I expected, but they didn’t charge us more. They were very easy to work with. It now looks like there was never a tree there. I would hire them again.
